Bellevue Arts Festival & a bunch of new pieces

The Bellevue Arts Festival was a lot of fun - I met a lot of nice people and saw some excellent work. I had a lot of very positive feedback on my work and hope to hear about a commission. I had several new pieces for the festival - pictures of the new stuff are finally up on the website but here are a few peeks:
I made a set of end tables out of cherry and employed an effect to make the wood look woven. I also made a matching coffee table.

I made a 4 person dining table with a zircote top - the picture doesn't quite do it justice, but there you go..

I also made 4 chairs to accompany the dining table.

Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to participating again next year. Thanks to everyone who came out to support Flotsam!

Launching flotsamdesigns.com

Things that are going on with furniture making and Flotsam Designs:

I have my Game Table in a gallery in Seattle right now - the Northwest Fine Woodworking Gallery (www.nwfinewoodworking.com).

I have just finished a liquor cabinet and I plan to add photos to the newly launched Flotsam website (www.flotsamdesigns.com) this week (hopefully). The cabinet will be on display at the Blue Horse Gallery (www.bluehorsegallery.com) in Bellingham starting February 5th.

I am about to start working on a set of six or eight kitchen stools...
